Give Me Five for Kids is a fundraising initiative supported by over 40 radio & TV stations across regional Australia. For almost 20 years, the month of June has been dedicated to raising much needed funds for local community hospitals.

All donations received stay local and go directly to the children’s ward in each market to help provide the best possible care for sick local children and their families when they need it most.

Over the years millions of dollars have been raised to pay for invaluable medical equipment and provide support for families, but it’s not nearly enough. So please dig deep and donate now and help our sick local kids!

About Give Me 5 for Kids

A chance discussion on a breakfast show in Gosford in the late 90’s, led to the establishment of a unique community-based fundraiser. An initiative which has changed the lives of thousands of Australian children and their families throughout Regional Australia.

After a parking station refused to accept 5 cent pieces as payment, the question was asked on-air, “what are 5 cent pieces good for?” A listener phoned in and suggested “why don’t we collect all those useless 5 cent pieces – then donate the money to the Children's ward at the hospital?” So they did!
